I'm Huntsville, so about the same, but north end of town close to 53, so I can usually get there in about 1:30 to 1:45 depending upon time of day. (about 2 hrs to the airport I sometimes use.) Only had to drive up once in 9 months of ownership, for a secret compartment rattle fix.

In Houston, I live by two dealers: one is 18 miles away, and the other is 25. Though with traffic, it's at least an hour.

Dang... miniusa.com says I'm within 30miles of *SIX* dealers.... (but two would technically require paddling across the Long Island Sound
)

My nearest dealer is less than 10 minutes, but i have about 4 dealerships within a 60 minute drive.
Prestige Mini
Westchester Mini
Manhattan Mini
Morristown Mini
It made negotiations much easier with a little competition. Would you believe that NYC gave me the best price and prestige matched it.

Closest = Hartford = 42 miles, 1 hour 10 min. one-way
Mine = Stamford = 97 miles, 2 hours one-way
MINI of Fairfield County is worth the 4 hour round-trip to me.

About 52 miles which isn't too bad. BUT it takes just under 1.5 hours because only the last couple miles are highway and traffic is always bad. Still, could be worse.

10 minutes if I speed.
Sounds great, eh? I hope we get along fine, since the next closest one is 3.5 hours away!

I have seven dealers within easy driving distance (I'm in Southern California). Closest is about 4 miles away from home. I drive by another on the way to work (Irvine Mini). You can see the Dealership from the highway (I-5).
