Front Splitter Options

I'm thinking of adding a front splitter to my Mini but I'm not sure what to go with. Does anyone know which front splitters will work with the Hypersport body kit (or does it even make a difference)?

I really like the way the Strassentech splitter looks. The M7 one is nice too but I don't like the chrome/silver controls since my car is de-chromed.

Any suggestions/help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Celia

Here is a thread with some photos that I found on NAM...

https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...light=splitter

https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...light=splitter

And also this thread...

http://www.motoringunderground.com/f...ead.php?t=3980

Here it is on Bimmer Performance (click on Exterior)...

http://store.bimmerperformancestore....t=products.asp

$600 for the CF version and $400 for the FRP version.

I like it but it's really expensive and I don't know if it would even work with the Hypersport body kit...

as long as the hypersport bumper follows the same lower line as the original, the Strabentech should work fine.

I just got off the phone with someone from Bimmer Performance and he said that the Strassentech splitter is for the R53 and he doesn't think it will fit the R56, let alone the Hypersport body kit. BUT, he's going to call Strassentech and confirm this and also see if they currently have any plans to make one to fit the R56 if this one won't fit.

Anyone have any suggestions for splitters that will work with the R56? I know there's a Hamman style one available but I'm not sure where you get it and if it would work...

Thanks for the info Flaco! I am interested in this too. Any detailed information you could share would be great! Also, if you don't mind me asking, how much did it cost, shipped? You can PM me if you don't want to post that info.

Thanks,
Celia

Hi Celia. I'm buying a new car and have the DUZ splitter from my R56 JCW which I'll probably sell. It cost me $500 new, plus shipping, and has a few scratches which could be fixed by someone good with fiberglass. Let me know if you are interested. Neil

Hey Wetceal, you haven't updated your "My Mini Story" lately. Where's the new wheels and interior photos?

LOL...I knew someone would say that sooner or later! I've been SO swamped lately with work and we're buying a piece of property, etc. that I have really neglected updating the Mini Story. I have a list of stuff that I need to add to it, I just need to find the time to do it!

Keep your eye out on THIS forum...especially the NAM online magazine...

I just got in the rear brake kit and I'm waiting for the brake fluid so I can't wait to get that on the car! I'm sure I'll be taking several new photos once that's installed!!

Thanks,
Celia

I noticed that yours was mounted on a JCW R56, will this splitter fit on a R56 MCS, non-JCW? Thanks
