I'm on the east coast, so I expect not to wait the full 6-8 weeks my MA quoted, although I know it could happen. I do want to know, though, what my actual Production Week # is.

Thanks!

It may be close to it. Mine went on the production line a week early but 1866 ASK MINI was very cautious in saying how long it would be on the train/boat and at the VDC.

VDC has to put on my JCW Body kit and install my Nuvi so I imagine that will take an extra day.

Apparently everyone wants a new Mini this time of year! Time to build a new facility BMW!!

When I ordered my E46 several years ago, I thought the waiting would be the hardest part. Turned out it was the second hardest part.

Writing the check to the finance guy at the dealership was the hardest part!

Looks like we might literally be in the same boat. I put my order in on Saturday as well. I'm in G'ville, SC, assuming you ordered yours through Charlotte?

Ordered my MCS on Dec 19th. It's now awaiting transport to lovely US of A. Yes, the waiting is the hardest part. I look everyday at mt stat hoping it will change to here/ I know, i know.....it will be here...

mcs, dark silver, white top, sunroof, lsd, and one impatient driver.

I guess the difference can be put down to dealer allocation and available production slots. Too bad they're not the same week -- it would have been kinda cool to have Mini-Sibs...

Well, try to hold on a bit longer. (Guys I know tell me thinking about baseball helps! )

That really would drive me insane! Maybe I'll try to freeze myself and unthaw closer to the delivery date, you know like on South Park. Oh wait that didn't work out very well. Nuts, guess I'll have to go back to drinking.

Yeah, right...

Actually, I was lucky with my '07. I ordered 12/13/06 and used a dealer slot. The only thing holding me back was the 2/17 introduction date for the new R56, and I got mine on 2/21/07. That's not too bad a wait. Of course, that was going through Charleston. I don't think I could have waited the extra time the West Coasters needed...nor could my old car, which was feeling its age.

W0000T!

Just got my cargo information from W&W Shipping.

Im on board the Patriot leaving Southampton tomorrrow (1/19/2008) and scheduled for arrival in NY on the 28th!

Im confused though, the voyage says that there are 2 stops at ports both in NY. Whats the deal with that?

So for those of you who have a car on the same boat as me, here is the link that will let you watch it sail across the pond.

http://www.sailwx.info/shiptrack/shi...html?call=WQVY

Look for the ship named the patriot.

How ironic. Im a Giants fan

If you dont know if you are on the same boat as mine, go to

http://schedule.2wglobal.com/AppTracking/

and enter your VIN. It should give you the name of your ship.

You might want to call them again. I called this afternoon and even though they told me previously that I'd be in week 6, I'm now in week 5 according to the guy I talked to. Apparently I got moved a week ahead somehow.

The Owner's Lounge still shows "On Order". Makes me wonder why they even provide status online if it's so far behind. I even asked the guy about it today and he told me that it's always about 4 or 5 days behind.

The MINI Lounge is more than 4-5 days behind! In my case, it was at least 2 weeks. ASK MINI is your best bet, as long as they don't get caller ID and refuse to answer!

If my dealer didn't have an Oxygen Blue automatic on the lot, I would have been waiting 8 weeks. He also told me that LOTS of people wanted to buy it...can't understand why they only have ONE in that color in a lot of about 80 MINIs.

Ordered last week, Oxy Blue MCa. Dealer (Scottsdale AZ) says we will be week 6 production with delivery by the end of March.

This will be our 2nd MINI - 2004 MCa Pw/Pw

The waiting is the hardest part, I waited 14 weeks or so, and spent about every day on this site whining about how long of a wait I had to endure. I would do it again if I had to, of course it would be way easier if I were already a mini owner to begin with. This is my first and I love it!
