How do you change the bulbs in the driving lamps?

I've done a search through the forum and can't seem to find an answer to how to replace the bulbs in the OEM driving lamps. Is there any way I can do it or do you have to take it to the dealership?

lots of assumptions...

1) we ARE talking the add on driving lamps and not the fogs, right?

2) i have not played with a set for a gen 2 but will guess they are like the gen 1 .....

you need to remove the front lens. There's one screw on the bottom and then the front lens and chrome ring can be popped off. Then you can remove the bulb and head to PepBoys etc for a replacement

That's how I remember it anyway. I don't have driving lites, but installed several sets for folks..... When 'building them up' for install I recall running the wires up into the mounted lite then making the connections.....

Yup they are the ones that come from Mini that are attached to the grille...not the fog lamps.

Thanks for the input.

Just to clarify this is for the R56 driving lights. You can do it yourself but it is a pain in the *** compared to replacing the other bulbs in your MINI. You literally have to remove the light from its bracket and remove a screw from the back of the light in order to get to the bulb. Then you have reattach and re-aim the lights. Not fun. Here is a link from Motoringfile that has the installation instructions which include the bulb replacement instructions (page 17 I think). Kinda related, but does anyone know of a inexpensive and small torque screwdriver?
