R56 Driver seat question.
#1
Driver seat question.
There is a handle behind the seats that lets you pull the seat forward and have someone enter into the back seat. I do that to the passenger seat and it slides all the way forward, after I push the seat back, it will slide back to the original position it was in. I tried to do the same with the drivers seat and it actually will slide past the original position. Is that normal?

No.
Theres a little slide stop in the lower track of your driver's seat that's out of position.
Slide your driver's seat all the way forward with the seat folded to access the back.
Look in the tracks. There will be a little silver metal block in one of the tracks, near the rear (don't remember which track, but you'll see it).
Slide that metal black as far forward as you can.
Tip your seat back and run it to the back of the track. It should "pick up" the block along the way and clip it back where it should be.
Now position your seat where you want and you should be set.

Mine were not working right. Checked the metal slide in the outside track on each seat. Pushed it as far forward as I could get with a long screwdriver.
Now the seats return to their prior position as long as I don't straighten the back first.
Thanks!
That's the way mine works. If you straighten the back, it locks the lower portion from sliding
