R56 What is an Anthracite Headliner
Hi All, Just wanted to throw this out there.
If the Anthracite headliner came standard with the car . And the light Gray was the $250.00 option.
I would bet that you could argue the light Gray was better because of the contrast and how much lighter and roomier it makes the small cabin of the mini feel.
I too was on the fence when ordering my mini did not really want to spend the extra money just to change the headliner color.
I honestly feel that BMW is marketing this to just get another $250 out of the car buyer. I don't think we should have to pay extra .
Every car I have bought previously to this one the interior matched.
I ultimately decided I liked the interior to match and bought the $250.00 Anthracite headliner.

i wish! my R50 was bought used, so i didn't have much of a choice...but if i could change 3 things about my car, it would be an anthracite headliner, an engine swap with an R55, and an end to the maintenance nightmares.
The only reason I even thought about this is because a dealership I spoke to has one coming with the AH. However, I think the grey (standard) headliner would look sharp with the black and white interior of the Camden. (I'll have a sunroof as it's part of the Camden package in Canada).Anyway, just thought I'd revive this thread, as some may be debating between these 2 choices while building their future Minis!
Cheers!
HA! Just what I wanted to see! Anthracite and grey headliners side by side! One of the last option I was debating on for my Camden S!

But I think both would look nice for sure...
Sorry I don't...but the other pictures posted above showing the two side by side gives you a really good idea. That...and take a good look at both at your dealer...
i have a midnight black camden S w/ the anthracite headliner
That transition from black to light gray looks awkward to me. I prefer the A.H.
(Brings to mind not being able to get lumbar support on a BMW 1 or 3 series unless you pay for the $3,000 premium package.)
I ordered the anthracite headliner and absolutely love it.
