Welcome! A very nice looking Mini. I agree, they are the most fun to drive. 4 weeks for me and 2600 miles.

Thanks! I haven't really come up with a name yet... I do believe its a her though.... kind of sassy that way. 9 days and just passed the break in period. The first weekend that I had it my fiance and I took a trip down to Texas Hill Country (we live in Dallas) and toured some winery's (sp?) and did some hiking. It was a blast driving it on all the back twisty roads down there.

I've had it since August 8th,2007. I still question myself if it is normal to love a car like this (8,000+ miles after). I know it isn't normal but every single time I see my Mini or someone else's I smile.

Sassy? That's a good name! I'm sure she will let you know what it is before long! Then look out for the mod bug....

I saw this post and I sent my MA a note to thank him. I have exactly same feeling - what a great car this is. Beyond expectations of those, like me, who are new to MINI.

I seem to be quite "aware" of the mod bug. I have been reading this forum waaaay to much, and all this talk of the Alta products is really making it hard to resist.... my only concern is how that will affect my warranty.

I am still a little hesitant to do something I am pretty sure will void my warranty this early in owning a new car. Especially when it seems there are some people with some minor issues that they have gotten fixed under warranty. In any case... for the moment it sure seems pretty fast to me. I am sure those with heavily modded cars would get back into a stock MCS and think it was pretty slow. I am just not in that camp right now. Controlling the torque steer seems to be a full time job when you get on the gas hard.. especially on a bumpy road on in a slight corner.

Love the car though and everyone here has been soooo much help when I was trying to figure out what to get early on in the ordering process.

Thank NAM!!!!
