Sorry to burst your bubble, there is a 40K Mini that is easy to put together from the dealer at MSRP or less...the car I had built by Alexander Mini in So. Cal had all of those options and I am sorry to admit more...If you look at the car on Ebay remember the wheels alone are $3500 MSRP.I choose 17" Hamann wheels for a better ride, the 18's on my last Mini were back jarring.I also added all the packages available, and added all the JCW goodies except the strut brace because there is a better way to go aftermaket
The car is to much fun,but trust me there is a 40 k MINI out there and I was able to negotiate on the install of all the parts and the aero kit painting.
Remember the way this car is set up is special and super fun to drive and stupid fast with all the upgrades...Hope this makes sense,Take care

I don't think anyone's denying that it's possible to put together a $41k MINI, but the one on eBay (link in first post) ain't it.

Check my post #17 in this thread. I put the car together on the configurator, and it didn't even hit $36k before the dealer installation costs. Add a few hundred for the non-MINI parts like the antenna and lowering springs, and a few hundred more for dealer installation, and the "Buy-It-Now" price still represents a $3-4k markup over what anyone could order the same car for.

You want to see insane, take a look at Prestige Mini's site in NJ,they have a similar car for close to $49,000.That car is nut's...I appreciate also what you said about the cofigurator, but alot of the options involved in creating the car are not represented properly and you really have to work with dealer and unfortunately the installation of theJCW Kit,Brakes,Rotors , Aerokit with full painting, accessories are more than a few hundred bucks. But in spite of the cost this is one special little car and a absolute pleasure to zip around in...not many other cars can touch the fun we have driving our Mini's no matter how there configured. This R56 is so much better than my R53 and it's only gonna get better,The little guy only has 530 miles on it ....can't wait to see what happens when the engine really breaks in,Take care
