R56 GPS Recommendation?
I recently purchased a TomTom One for $200. I didn't need bells and whistles, I simply wanted something to get me from point a to point b, and so far the TomTom has done a great job. I have also used a borrowed Nuvi 200 from a friend, and I have to say that both had their fair share of inaccuracies in the maps, but neither one had more than the other.
The reason I went with the TomTom was a combination of price, the fact that the lower priced one includes Canada (where I am planning a few trips), and the Map Share feature. The map share allows users to update the maps and share them on-line. I have already made a few updates and have seen some come in from elsewhere.

One advantage the Nuvi 760 has over the 660 line and Garmin's "C" models is pre-planning routes. Many of the models in the automobile line let you pick a destination, but if you want to drive specific roads and have it guide you on those roads, they won't do it easily. The 760 lets you preplan a route, load it and then get nav directions on your specified route. The Zumo 550 does this as well.
Also be sure to check and see if recalculates pre-programmed routes if that is an important feature to you. I can upload routes in my 76CSx, however if I don't specify frequent via points, when it calculates the route from the stored information, it doesn't always calculate the same route I outlined in Mapsource. I haven't checked out the 760 to see if it will do that. The Zumo 550 doesn't recalculate pre-programmed routes unless you tell it to (since a software update). Meaning, once you design your route for your trip in Mapsource, it will be that same route in the Zumo, exactly. I find that is important since many of the fun trips I take on my motorcycle or in the Mini are done for the purpose of driving a specified route, not just getting a destination.

I am looking at the 760 too - just not into it yet to throw 620$
