As far as we know, the only real differences between the upcoming 2008 model hard tops and the LATE build 2007 hardtops are:

1) Price increase on many options/packages.

2) USB audio port (only when you order the Bluetooth Prep package).

3) Auto-up driver's side window (although it appears that this has now been delayed and won't show up in the early 2008 builds).

That's about it!

Packages are also different, prices may be increased but some options decrease in cost. Every thing is rounded off in 08, there isn't any more 600 dollar option or 550. Its either been rounded down or slightly up. Automatic transmission is cheaper also. The Cold weather package is 500 bucks but now includes powerfolding mirrors.

slight changes like that,

oh and eventually you can order a JCW car, with everything on it, like an M version Mini, from the factory.

I doubt very seriously that's going to happen for MY2008. More likely it will be MY2009 or MY2010 before the factory "Stage II" JCW. You might be able to get a "Stage I" JCW engine kit VDC installed during MY2008 though.
