Question for anyone about center stack panel

For those of you who have added "stuff" to the center panel at the bottom of the stack, how does the very bottom piece attach (the panel under the aux input)? It seems to be separate and I wanted to get behind it to hide my wiring for my XM sportscaster. I got the direct wire kit from myradio store and I guess I will wire it to the fusebox (which #fuse powers down?). Waiting for my smb cable extender from ebay. Thanks for any help.

I was wondering about that panel myself today while hiding an audio cable. I did hide the cable behind that area and accessed it from the foot panel on the driver's side. Sorry I can't help more.

Here's a link to info on the fuse question. I used F32. It powers down when the car is off. Good luck.
