I had someone come up to once and tell me "you know they are making conterfeit minis, you should make sure yours is real"

 

checked it out hoping they had updated it. nope. still the same as it was during the counterfiet blitz.

 

A few months ago a store clerk asked if mine "was a real MINI". I just said yes. It wasn't until I had left the store that I remembered that old "counterfeit MINI" campaign!

 

Funny that someone went through all that trouble..

My MINI club has a date with a High School halftime show (drive the princesses around - our encore performance) and my MINI is in the shop So It's been suggested that since it's Halloween I dress up my rental (silver Grand Prix) in a MINI costume. I'm thinkin' a couple black streamers for stripes and I'll call it a preview of the Clubman

 

yup, but lots of new MINI owners on here may never have seen it. I wonder if the video is on youtube. It's hilarious.

 

I got flashed (headlights, that is) the other day. I quickly followed suit...and discovered it was a Scion. I was SO embarrassed. Then again, he probably was, too.

 

Years ago, MINIUSA had a file that printed sheet-by-sheet a life sized MINI.

 

put stripes on the grand prix and write MINI in shoe polish!!
