I need to know the weight of the R56 8 spoke wheel. I would like to lighten up the weight to improve acceleration. Does anyone know how much these wheels weight? AND what is a good street wheel which is VERY lite? ANy help would be great, thanks, keep it MINI

 

If you mean the crown spoke, those are 22.7lbs. See OEM wheel FAQ here.

I chose the 16" X-lite @ 17.6lbs as a cheap lighter option.

 

I will have a set of 16" s-winders for sale when my new wheels arrive. I believe they are the lightest 16" oem wheel. Something like 15.6 lbs

 

I have a set of CenterLine RPM 17x7 wheels. I paid about $190 each including CA tax and shipping ($169 price). They were on sale, and often are. I'm happy with them. I got polished aluminum, so they take a fair amount of care. Weight is less than 16 lbs. each.

I also have a set of Rota RB 16x7. They are available online for less than $600 for four shipped. They are a little hard to clean because they have so many spokes and the spokes are deep. Otherwise, they are good. IIRC, they weigh about 14 lbs. each.
