Tire Pressure for R105 18 inch?

I was reading the manual and the side of the drivers door panel and was stating that the 18 inch tire should be inflated to to 38 pds. I checked my tires and they only had 32 pds. Filled them up to 38 and now the ride really is very harsh. For measuring purposes I waited till the tires were cold before taking readings and filling up with air. The 32 pds seems to be the better pressure, what do you folks think. Thanks!

I also found 38 a little harsh (with JCW suspension). I typically had 35-36psi and got 28K miles out of the set; much longer than most owners report. Rotated every 3K miles and wear was even to the day I chenged tires.

lower tire pressure is definitely going to have a softer ride. With a 18 inch wheel, you probably want to run a higher pressure because your side profile is so low you dont want to damage your rim if you go over a bump.

Too hard

38 is too hard if you ask me. Once the tire heats up it will be probably close to 44.

35 should much better although on my current car with 17's I run 32.
