R56 Armrest choice
Hmm...
Maybe it's different than the one I have then (it shouldn't be though)??? I know for sure that the one in my car will indeed fit the cabrio as well. The seats and seat mountings holes for the cabrio are identical to the ones in the 1st gen hardtop MCS AFAIK.
Here's a review of it over on MotoringFile.com:

Maybe it says that simply because it is listed in the 2nd gen section of their catalog???

I have option a which I got with the Bluetooth. While it does slide open, I think the issues of blocking the gear shift, brake, poor fit, etc. depend on your build. I'm 5'11" with a normal build and it fits me fine.
I do try, however, not to put a lot of weight on it, because it is not nearly as stable as it should be.

Armrest
I have had my MINI for 5 months now. One thing I am missing is "ARMREST."
I feel very weird without it. I'd like to know your opinion as to whicn one you recommend. I want to get either one of them.

Option B: http://www.outmotoring.com/mini-coop...h_storage.html

Anyone know anything about the armrest for Mini Coopers being auctioned on Ebay by the seller "swirek51". The Ebay number was 190139509220. The going rate is about $90 which is reasonable. But the pictures included in the ad makes me question if it will interfere with the hand brake.
just because your honda is stick and has an armrest doesnt have any reflection on the functionality of the MINI armrest with a stick shift... the geometry in the MINI is significantly different than most cars. the model i test drove was auto with the armrest and i think its kind of annoying how the E-brake is so far underneath the armrest. I didnt order an armrest with my MINI and intend on keeping it like that unless i feel its totally necessary.
Fan of Swirek's Armrest
I bought the ebay armrest for $89.99 plus $19 for shipping and installed it a few days ago. In my opinion, it is an exceptional value for the price -- exactly what I was looking for. I don't have any affiliation whatsoever.
The good: much less expensive than the other aftermarket options on this thread; leather pad; good storage; fits right where it should and at proper arm support height; easy mounting -- takes 10 minutes with 4 self-taping screws; screws have washers & caps that make them look "factory"; plastic - just like the tunnel housing; tilts out of the way, if necessary; works with emergency brake; doesn't intrude on back seat.
The bad: the support fits up against the rear cup holder and could be a more exact match with the radius of the base. Also, being a plastic support, you wouldn't want to sit on, or otherwise abuse it. The storage area inside is ample, but it doesn't lock for valuables.
Installation suggestion: use a 1" square of double-sided tape at each screw location between the tunnel plastic and the armrest housing -- it keeps everything snug and relieves some of the burden on the screws. I used 3M exterior mounting tape (4011 Long).
