the feeling at the base of your skull when your neck muscles tighten up as you step on the gas and merge onto the highway...love it

Your dream is out of date. I don't think the button is directly connected to the starter the way the old key ignitions were. It is just an input to the computer. The computer turns the starter motor. Your nightmare should be about the computer going haywire and not responding to any driver input.

The feature that every day allows me to take that 270 degree, downhill on-ramp onto the tollway at 50mph+.

Especially when a co-worker takes the same on-ramp behind me in her Mustang GT and ends up a half a mile back by the time she gets on.

i've been thinking about this all day and i can't come up with 1 so i will give you my top 4 (in no order).

1. Start Button
2. mood lighting
3. holding down the unlock button to row down the windows and crack the sunroofs.
4. the blue led lights i put in place of the white lights

Y'know, though I started the post and still agree with my #1 (the feel of the steering wheel), I have to mention #2 - the way it makes me smile.

I named this car "Happy" (though I should use the "Mini" spelling, "Hapi"), because it really truly makes me smile every time I think of it. It is just a blast in every way. And I really think the car is a bit of a...well, chick magnet too

I drove into Kings Canyon Nat'l Park a couple weeks ago. It was a nice, cool, gently rainy morning, and the "Rangerette" was absolutely beautific. I pulled up, turned off the car, and started chatting with her. She said she had thought of getting one of these cars. "You know the Italian Job?", she asked. I smiled, she smiled, my passenger smiled. A bunch of "Happy" people.

I fell in love with her. So did my passenger. I think she did too - but with my car

Many favorite things, I sure agree.

Lucky us!

I LOVE that. I've only had my MCS (with sport suspension and LDS) for 10 days or so so I'm still getting a feel for what it will do. I have a 270 degree uphill ramp that is posted at 25 that I use 2 or 3 times a week. I've been slowly increasing my speed on it. There is a BMW cactus who works in my building who drives a BMW 5 series whom I passed today just prior to hitting that ramp on the way to the office. He stomped the gas to keep me from running away from him and ran right up on my bumper just as I got to the ramp. I went into the turn at 65 and came out at 70, he was more than 100 yards behind me at the top. He kept his distance the rest of the way to the office and parked around the corner to avoid me as we walked in. No more BMW wanna be crap outta him today.

That we had the car built to our specs instead of ordering off the lot. Makes it so much more enjoyable.

my fav

Not in any order:

The way the piping on the black lounge leather seats match the Pepper White exterior paint

the mood lighting

The sport button

30 plus MPG

how my MINI feels like I'm driving a larger car but also handles like a go cart.

The looks and comments I get from everyone who sees it

That I love driving and being driven in in it.

I love the pressure of my back against the seat back when it takes off.

Probably the make your friends wet their pants handling as far as performance goes. My favorite toy is the secret compartment. Its nice for hiding my iPod and other valuables. The seat is also pretty sweet, I have sport cloth seats and i have it perfectly set up for comfort.
