Push the FOB in slightly and it should eject itself out for you, you can't just pull it out.

I think he did try and pull THE FOB out. I have had it since May with no issues, I guess it'll be off to the dealer!!! ThanX y'all!!!

Si Si, the FOB. You can't even lock the doors with the 'key' if the fob is still docked, must be locked manually.

Have you tried pushing it in instead of just pulling it out? You have to push it in to get it to eject out. If he tried to just pull it out, it won't come out as it has to be ejected first.

If it won't come out after pushing it in, then yes, a trip to the dealer is probably in order.

Auto or Stick? I have an Auto, and a few times, I shutdown while still in Drive mode and the keyfob is stuck. Went into panic mode briefly, but then realised gotta shift it back to Park mode and it came out as usual. Not sure how it goes for a Stick.

Sorry for the late update. We went to MINI of Nashville (Great bunch) And Mr. Gray yanked it right out. "I could have done that!!!!" I exclaimed. But as he stated, better for it to break here than 85 mi away at home.
