I need to find a way to power up my remote (blue wire) wire for my power amp. I tried running it to the fuse panel under the glove box, but the Amp is always on. DOES anyone out there with a R56 have subwoofers in there car I need help.
Did you try posting this in the Nav and audio section? Lots of smarts over there.
As Mgibrace said, they should be able to help you in the other section, I've seen plenty of posts there identifying which wires to splice things into. Read through it and you'll be up and going in no time. Heck, there is even directions on how to pull the speedo and dash apart to remove the OEM stereo . I would also suggest the Electrical Modifications section. Lots of great information there too. You don't need to find a post about necessarily about an amp, just one where someone identifies the hot wire that is associated with the cigarette lighter. It is confusing to find because those wires stay hot for something like 15 minutes after the Mini is turned off.

alot of MTX amps (not sure about other mfgs) have the capability of not needing a remote turn on. It senses a signal in the line then turns on the amplification.
