You publicly admit to having a buddy with an R56?

Don't they clip your MININUTS such an offense?

I bought ours a bit more than 2 years ago at MOT. They easily have 50 unsold cars on the lot and continued to have about the same number until the 07s. Now they have many more the last time I checked. I think the cars on the lot thing is regional. We got three dealers in the area, that's a glut of cars.

Last year I remember visiting Long Beach, South Bay, and Crevier all on the same holiday weekend, all three were practically empty. All they had were cabrio's. When I picked up my R56 they had plenty of auto's available in different colors, no 06 coupes, but plenty of 06 and 07 cabrios avaialble. I was emailed the extensive list.

Brecht MINI usually has a nice selection of MINIs on the lot. But I'm up there often, and they definately turn over their inventory frequently. I don't think they are having ANY problems enticing wanna-be MINI owners.

I understand the relationship of supply and demand and a oversupply generally equals lower price or at least some other concession. It appears to me the demand is still fairly strong. If your waiting to see $5K off a ford F150 or some similar make I think you will be waiting a while. Meanwhile, you don't have a really fun car to drive and life is passing you by. BTW, I think F150s are great trucks.

I was at the dealer in Denver last week, they had $1000 off any MC in stock, not S's, but standard MC's. They had a ton of them.

That's great news for somebody 'cause it's a great car!!!

It's risky for a dealer to have a lot of cars on the lot because most people seem to still want to custom-order their MINIs. I might have bought one off the lot, but none were exactly what I wanted.

Thats exactly right gokartride, when I bought mine there were no MCS autos and I was willing to buy a base MC with everyhting I wanted. The only difference was the $2,500 tire package that I didn't want and they would not budge a little. Maybe they would now. I don't know. My suspecision is that they would. Why not order exactly what you want.

Mini of Nashville didn't really have a glut of cars last time I was that way. About an equal number of MC and MCS. 1000 of a MC, WOW, what a deal.

Oil closed at over $75 dollars a barrel friday, I suspect Mini won't have any problems, even with the MC, I'm routinely getting 38+ mpg in mixed driving in my 6 speed MC.
