Power Folding Mirrors

I added the power folding mirrors to my 07 MCS order. On the configurator, to do this you must first remove the cold weather package then add the heated seats and the power folding mirrors separately.

The description of the power folding mirrors states that the mirrors are heated. However, it does not mention that by selecting this option the window washer jet nozzles will be heated as well.

Are the spray nozzles heated with the power folding mirror option?

I did a search of this forum but found no answer to this question. My MA was unsure. I know that someone here at NAM will have the correct information.

Thank you.

The answer is NO. BUT, you should do this, have your MA add the cold weather package, then add the power folding mirrors, they can do it on the order system. YOU can't do it on the WEB for some reason. I think it's a bug on the web site. There is somebody who did this on the forum, I had wondered how he did it (noticed both in his signature) and he explained it to me.

i'm glad I didn't get the fold up mirrors, they don't stick out very much past the car, so it's really not needed.

I was jsut thinking about this, I bet (and I'm going to look tonight), there really is no "heating" for the spray nozzles. BUT, the hood, errr um, I mean "bonnet" gets so hot normally from engine heat, they probably pass it off as "Heated nozzles".

I ordered the power folding mirrors and the other items in the cold weather package, when I recieved my order sheet my MA had ordered it as if it had the cold weather package with the power fold mirrors instead of the the normal heated mirrors that come with the package. I didn't have to ask him to do this, he just did it. On the order sheet it is listed as heated mirrors and washer jets.

Thanks Dan! (my MA from Rasmussen in Portland, OR)

Birdman, I asked this very question last night at the dealer as I wasn't sure how they did it. While the 'bonnet' was up he pointed to the tubes attached to the underside of the hood, as well as electrical wires running along side them. Electrically heated, he said.

Yes, they are heated. As stated before, the web configurator does not let one pick folding mirrors & cold weather package, but your dealer's ordering system does.

The spray nozzles are included with the heated powerfold mirrors, without the cold weather package, I believe.
