I think you will be off loaded in Charleston. I read that Dallas is off loaded in Charleston.

I guess it grabs the Monday boat to Charleston hehehe.

I am hoping for August 20 drive date ... great to go somewhere in a gorgeous MINI on the long week end

I just checked the WW site and I got on the Carmen! It's amazing... the car is on it's way 10 days after I ordered it. Woot!

Just called ASK MINI and was informedt that my car will be completed by the end of the week (7/27). I guess it will be 3-4 weeks before I see it in Florida. It does not have a name yet but will do so in the upcoming weeks.

They just loaded mine on the "Western Highway" on July 27th. ETA Charleston SC on Aug 9. ETA Dealer August 14-19 ...

Ratdogman, How did you find out it was on the Western Highway. I have used the WW site and they do not show my Vin number any where. Is there a different place for the K-line ships to show up?

 

Hey Harper, I asked my MA and he provided that information. The Western Highway is a K-line ship and doesnt show up on WW. The K-line website is also pretty useless.

ok guys... so my mini is now awaiting transport on the mini website (as of 7/28) so i suppose i'm week 30 as well but my question is how long is it suppose to take from here? I still have to go "en route", "at distro center", to "dealer." I'm hoping to see it at my dealer in virginia soon :(

 

Talked to my MA today. MiniMac is still on land. I guess I will be there until the end of this week. That is the next ship out is due 8/3 and 8/4 to Charlston. Hope I am scheduled for one of those ships. I will have been sitting around for 8 or 9 days. It could almost be in Charlston. This is the long wait.

 

Hello, I have patiently read thru all posts on this thread and determined that I must be a week 30. At the beginning of the thread, I was thinking (per Harper's posts) that my Mini might actually be on the ship and on its way here. Now it seems like it has been on land waiting to board a ship. This IS a long wait, I agree. Any idea what port my Mini will come to (ordered from Mini-Peabody near Boston). Also, I'm unclear which shipping line to look on to check progress, how much time in the water, then how much time to distribution center, at distribution center, and finally to dealer? I ordered on 7/14, mini was built by 7/24, and they told me I might have in four weeks -- I was HOPING for Aug. 12 weekend. Is this unreasonable?

I do not think you will be taking delivery by the 12th. It takes 10 days to cross the pond. They will drop off in N.J. is my understanding. Hope this helps.

 

Very good news today. I decided to call Mini Peabody, the dealer. So glad I did because I learned that my Mini was loaded onto a ship on July 27 and is somewhere in the middle of the Atlantic headed for New Jersey with arrival slated for Aug 6 (that seems like a long time to me). Then it will be loaded on an enclosed truck and it takes ONE DAY ONLY to come to Peabody, where they need the car for two days. The question is -- how long does it wait in NJ, because the truck fills with 60 for Mini Peabody (I believe the largest dealership in the US). Anyway, he said he thought I should have it Aug 10-14, and I said I was so hoping for Aug. 11, and he said that was very, very possible!

Mines apparently arrived at the Southampton terminal, due to leave port August 2nd.

If they are on the same ship, I would expect them to behave and make friends, but I'm a little surprised mine is going to Charleston -- no wonder it takes over a week to cross the pond. There must be only one boat!

Anyway, it's nice to know that he has a friend. Now, I have to check your color to see if they are compatible!!
