I just had my Dunlop RFs changed out for Bridegstone RE960As non RF all seasons. Initial reaction is very positive. Much better ride, better steering feel, quieter. No loss of turn in bite that I can perceive but I have not pushed too hard due to NO MILES on these tires quite yet.

Steering may actually be a bit firmer but since I went to 215/45-17 from 205/45=17, that might account for the difference.

More later as the miles add up.

Looks good, but... two questions:
1. Will the pump and slime fix interfere with the run-flat built-in tire sensor?
2. Does the slime make the tire unusable, if all it needs is a patch or plug afterwards?
If so, I'm wondering if the spare donut tire might be more feasible.

1. There's no sensor in the wheel/tire, MINI just measures the speed of each wheel and if one wheel spins slower it means the tire has less pressure. So try not to get 4 flats at the same time

2. The latex seal is temporary just like putting on a spare is temporary. After you use it you want to get your car to a tire repair place as soon as you can. They dump out excess liquid in the tire and fix the leak.

If you do get a tire sealant make sure it's latex based (the tire rack stuff is latex based) and not the fix-a-flat stuff 'cause that can damage the tire and the wheel, especially aluminum wheels and a lot of tire places won't fix tires with fix-a-flat in them. Also if you're near Canada you can get this stuff: http://www.canadiandriver.com/articles/pw/airman.htm for some reason it's not available in the US, it's basically the same stuff as the tire rack stuff but for half the price.
