Anyone have the chrome exaust tips put on? I ordered them, but they didn't have them in at pickup. My tailpipe tips are already chrome, what does the add on do?

Should I not add them?

When I ordered my mini I wanted to get the chrome tips but the salesman didnt even know what they were since the Mini S exhaust comes with chrome tips already. So I didn't order them.... I'm curious to know what they are as well

 

I looked at ordering the chrome "sport" tips... was told that S allready came with them and to forget it. I forgot it, as the tips are clearly chromed, I like the shape and I can't see making them look any bigger than they are.

 

The MINI brochure says something about "sport sound"...I wonder if they have some sort of baffle in them to change the sound of the exhaust?

I have them on my order, I didn't realize the stock ones were chromed. Depending on the answers posted here I may ask my dealer to leave them off.

 

From what I can tell, they are a tiny bit bigger, and they look like they have some sort of detail around the edge. Not sure how a tip would change the sound though...

 

Save your money, the stock tips look good.

Barkley, or beagle, decided to investigate the MINI last night. The exhaust was making it's cool down noises (click, clack, tic). Rabbits will prolly be safer around the house for the next few days. A singed beagle nose is not a productive beagle nose.

Doesn't look like much, I think I'll ask to not take them, use the $125 or whatever they were, for something else...

$125 seems kinda steep if you ask me. They don't even look that much different from the stock tips. Kinda strange.

 

Well they are nice but then again they aren't as big an addition as they might have been on R50/53. A tip in a tip...but a whole new performance exhaust system, now there's a reason to "go there."
