I feel really stoooopid, but "something" go stuck in the armrest compartment, and the top that usually slides open and closed is stuck about 1/4" open now. There is an annoying pencil rolling around in there, and I've tried shaking and pulling short of breaking it to get it to open. Any suggestions?

If you'd tried everything and your dealer isn't too far a way, stop by there and ask. I know that might be humiliating but if something beyond normal is wrong they'll have to document a failure in order to replace it. That'd be a last resort, or course, but just try not to break it...which is probably what I'd wind up doing. Better they do it than you.

 

I agree w/ gokart. You might try sliding a flat piece of metal (like a spark plug gap tool) and see if you can dislodge whatever is holding it form sliding back before you suffer "the humilaion"

 

My three yr old son somehow yanked the entire padded top right off the frame of the armrest yesterday.

I asked him how he did it, and all he'd say was "I'm Shrek".

He's not much help here, I'm afraid.

 

The lid came off of mine once, if it's all the way open then you push down on the back it comes off.I'm having mine looked at this weak it has a 4 inch yarn hanging out the back.The whole arm rest seems very cheep , I cant see it lasting for long.
