Meet Lolly

Meet Lolly
Lolly:British Slang for money
Lollygag:To waste time by puttering aimlessly; dawdle.
Lollypop:A confection consisting of a piece of hard candy attached to the end of a small stick.

I think my wife will be happy my months and months obsession is finished, but she's already asked what the first mod is We went to Houston to "look" at it, and ended up being able to take it home. A LONG day. Maybe I can get some sleep tonight!

Hmmm, you said in Houston where at Momentum Mini? They had a Chili Red R56 for about 23K and I had my eye on that and this looks awfully familiar .

Yeah right. Give it a week for some of the newess to wear off before you'll get some sleep. About that time the obsession to mod the car will kick in. My wife is trying to find me a 12 step program to deal with my MINI obsession. The only reason she let me get one was so I would stop taking hers on the weekend.

I've got white wheels on my Duc. ALWAYS filthy. I'm going to look in to different pads and see if that helps. Oh well. Looks nice clean!

I was up at 4:30 shuffling the garage around to make room. Yeah, I don't think sleep is coming for a while...

Thanks!

I'd only driven my brother's MC40 before so took a testride of the '07-kept it really sedate though. I'm being really careful (still within break-in), but geez. This things crazy. I LOVE the motor! A whole new world!

Depending on how you count it, either years, or since February or so. My brother got an '04 and I loved it. We needed a big vehicle in '05 for horses and >4 people in the car, so wife got a new Suburban. So I put off thinking about a new car for a while. Meanwhile my present one is up at 219k. Got serious in November, really started obsessing in February. Had been thinking I could finally order in a month or so, but happened upon a car and figured out how to swing it. At least I didn't have to wait another month + build/delivery.

Looks like you found a great one. I like the white wheels with CR. What are the options on the MINI or did I miss that in a previous post.

Sure looks nice and you have some wide open roads to enjoy the MINI in Texas.

Lolly looks great, I like the pictures at dusk.

I figured out a couple errands I had to do this morning. I think I can make up a couple more. I need a TxTag for the tolls. Insurance Agent. Bank. Yeah that's it. I'm not goofing around (lollygagging...), I'm running errands. Yeah that's the ticket...

Is the picture a bit out of focus, or is she so fast that there's wind lines even when sitting still? Hope you get to do more lollygagging, I mean errands!

No-I hadn't gotten that far. It has LSD, white wheels, MFSW & auto air, Sport package, cloth seats.

Almost exactly the way I would have ordered-not a lot of options. I probably wouldn't have sprung for auto air. I didn't want a sunroof (had them before, they don't do anything for me), so no premium package was great. Really wanted LSD, Xenons, MFSW and got those. Was probably going to order MY, but PW and CR were my other two that I liked, and wasn't really picky about color. Would have probably gotten anthracite headliner, colorline, and sport suspension, but it's great the way it is!

It's always nice to hear about a new Mini purchase, especially when you go "looking" and come home with the car (I did that 2 months ago). Sort of a glorified impulse buy, which are some of the best buys we make, no? Anyway it's a great looking car, wheel cleaning is very easy, and you'll put some miles on it this summer, trust me. (Interior pix are coming soon we trust)
