Did all the Sunday orders go out Monday? I received a tracking number, but USPS tracking is a bit ambiguous as to whether it actually shipped. Just says it received electronic notification...

What state are you in, so I can guess at the delivery time.

yes. they all went out.

We are in Washington state. We are about 1.5 hours from Paradise. Paradise on Mt. Rainier that is.

Transit time is usually 2 days but can be 3.

Thank you for seeing the need and developing a better mousetrap. I'm also glad that forums such as this and Mini2 are able to spread the word. I would have probably never discovered your organizer otherwise.

I'm also hoping that I'll interest some other local drivers who aren't on this forum. We're taking a daytrip to Crater Lake in a couple of weekends. Hey, that makes us two and a half hours from paradise.

The postal service's tracking system doesn't work as well as those from UPS or Fed Ex. The electronic notification shows up the first day as the package gets into the system. You'll usually have it before it gets updated. They only do updates in the evening.

Seattle service to here is usually two days. So two or three days to you should be right on time. But I'm hoping to receive mine before anyone else.

I received my package today and the R56 model of the Glovebox Tidy — in designer black — works great. Looks like I need to take the atlas out of the owner's manual pouch and it will lie flat.

Still allows room for a can or bottle of pop. Has to go in sideways, however. There isn't enough clearance on the roof of the glovebox to shut it if pointed the other way.

The GbT does not block the cold air valve.

I especially like how you added the section to the left for my Portland zoo key. You know the one that unlocks the squawk boxes that tell you "All the animals in the zoo are jumping up and down for you!!"

Nope, I removed the atlas (have the NAV) and it still doesn't sit flat. I was expecting that from the pre-release photos in another thread. Functionally, it doesn't matter, but would be more aesthetically pleasing if it did lie flat when open.

I have to admit this was the first time I'd had the pouch in the car. The OEM organizer didn't have room for it at all.

Yea, the OEM organizer is junk. I found I had to be very careful to position it just right, or I couldn't close the glove compartment.

I ordered my R56 glovebox tidy (light gray) at 7pm on 8.26 and it was delivered 8.29. Now that's fast shipping IMO. And, it's lovely. Just waiting for a car to put it in!!! This is my first purchase for my MINI, so far, so good.

Sunday night was the rough one. Then Monday afternoon when my body wanted a tad more sleep.
Thanks to all, you guys really helped me figure out the process.
Hopefully most of you will be getting these tomorrow.

Received mine yesterday. Not only does it fit perfectly and look/work great, I can't believe the incredibly fast turnaround time from ordering (Sunday) to receipt (Wednesday). Thanks GOMINIGO, I'll be back.

In my opinion the R56 glovebox is the problem, not so much the organizer. The glovebox itself seems to make any organizer's job a difficult one. In any case, I for one will keep the OEM unit...the elastic bits are doing a superb job holding my personal stuff and I find the overall finish better. Still, it is just an organizer so whatever works for you, fine. Just saying that the OEM unit does have it's strengths and can work, imo.

Yep. 3 very long minutes. Sorry about non-standard time designations. I'm a bit colonphobic or perhaps just periodcentric . . .

Sowellman I'm disapointed... I was beginning to think you were a man of good taste - but Pepsi!! Thanks for the picture and review. So do you think 2 COKES would fit in there?

I nude that; just couldn't resist. I did live in Europe for a while. Anyway, I came into this thread planning to post an alternate storage thing (as previously I only saw the OEM organizer and 3rd party ones that were identical), but I just ordered my Gominigo one with electric blue felt. The thing looks great! (BTW, the other storage thing is the parcel chelf saddle bag. Very handy thing, that takes up no useable space. (And diet Pepsi will probably occupy a spot in mine on occassion.

Is this the one that hangs underneath the shelf? Do you have it/like it/have an opinion on this?? I'm always looking for better storage.

Apparently, you didn't get the memo. The commissioners outlawed coke north of Union Gap and south of Wilbur. Be careful if you drive out of town. You may have to drink Pepsi or nothing at all.

Only one can of Coke would fit. If you tried another one in front, the glovebox door wouldn't close. But you might be able to fit a couple of those two-swallow cans in there.

I don't think I'd probably carry a can in there. I'd be afraid of forgetting it was in there, parking and coming back to have the glovebox coated in pop.

The other storage thing that I like is the OEM Boot Box. The adjustable partitions are very useful. Works well for grocery bags. Keeps the large laundry detergent bottle from crushing the bag of arugula.

Sowellman - I never thought you could fit a can in there. If you had asked, I would have said 'no way'. Nice find of an un-intented feature!

Robin - what is that a picture of in the right most part of your signature? I assume it is a stage in the factory, but which? BTW - nice *****!

All- thanks for the comments!

Hi. I got mine today, and will try it out first thing in the morning. I'll post my impressions tomorrow.

Re: Robin's sig. that is an interior shot of his mini with everything pulled out for his complete dyno-mat-ing of his MINI so he can use it as a sound stage. A brave and determined soul.

Not in the factory. That was taken in my garage. I'm removing the rear seats for cargo area, replacing/relocating the 6x9 speakers, and adding sound insulation. here is a somewhat later photo.

BTW - nice *****!
Thanks very much. I'm having fun making them.

Got mine yesterday. I was impressed by how solid and sturdy the construction was. Fits great. No problems opening and closing my glovebox. Makes for much better use of an awkward space.

I'm starting to get addicted to these mods and accessories. Too bad, I can't cheaply upgrade to a MCS.

I recently bought this for my '06 and it fits perfectly. I thought it was just a gimmick when I bought the car so I didn't order it from the dealer. This one really does help hold and find things.
