Seat adjustment

I'm having difficulty getting the seat adjusted into a position that gives me good leg support towards the front / top of the seat. The region in the back of my leg, behind where my leg bends, gets little support. I can often slide my hand under my leg, between the seat and my leg, perhaps for the front 3-4" or so. This is very different than my more ergonomic chair at work, where I'm supported very well in the front of the seat, and there is a slight dip in the back. I've tried moving the seat forward and backward, up and down, but if I get to a position where I get good leg support then I'm very oddly positioned otherwise (arms stretched, etc.). I didn't notice this problem at all for the first 2K miles or so, but it's increasingly noticable. I find myself relaxing my legs to the sides, using the lateral support instead. If I could just tilt the seat up in the front the smallest bit I think all would be righted, but that adjustment isn't available.

Anyone else finding this an issue?

Adjust your steering wheel to fit where your seat is rather than the other way around.

Remember that your car has a seat with a height adjustment, a steering wheel angle adjustment, and a steering wheel with the ability to telescope. Cars are made for 'typical' people. It looks like neither you nor I fall in that catagory. All these adjustments is a good part of the reason why I went with the R56. Having over a million miles of driving under my belt and having had lots and lots of new cars over the years, for me, this car is the best and most comfortable of them all for long trips (second place was my '98 Saab 9-5 which would even adjust the angle of the seat bottom).

Gracious, I thought that this Mini had all the features that the average driver needed., unless you are (very over tall ) do you have standard or sport seats? Maybe you can get a seat pad/ supporter to help you

I didn't know it telescoped - I'll try that today. I tried adjusting my seat again and found that I can get a good seating position when it is relatively high. But, I feel perched up, too high for the driving "zone", and prefer a lower slung position.

I'll keep trying...

I noticed this same problem when test driving an '07 MCS. I felt like I could not adjust the seat well enough (where the seat was low). I feel like I am sliding off the front of the seat... well not that bad. I was hoping there was some control that I didnt find during my test drive.

Do you know if the Lounge leather helps this since it looks like the leg bolster area is higher?
