Just a good guess, but the only time selected options would play a roll would be if one of your options was not available until a set date. Like the auto tranny or sat radio (both are available now).
Slots for orders were issued to dealers and scattered throughout each month/quarter. Each dealer orders specs good for his area, then, as they get customer orders, switch the specs to meet the customers needs. I am sure the dealers give up their next "show room" slot order to a paying customer each time.
It is kinda luck of the draw on how fast you get yours. If your dealer has been real busy, he may have ysed his slots for the next couple of months.

Also, options installed at the VDC or the dealer would delay delivery but it doesn't much matter if you get a stripper or a fully loaded MCS from the factory.

 

Stay away from the aero package. It can take forever.
