Is LoJack worth it? Was quoted a low ball price Dealer installed in my 07 S for $450. Is it worth installing it at this or any price?

 

I was quoted the same amount and told it was the standard "low" price for the system. My MA said that some dealers will try to charge more for it. I didn't go for it. It's just dealer profit IMO. Would have saved me $50 a year or something on insurance.

 

Depends where you live , what the rip off rate is . But R56 already has safeguards built in to its system.!! car cannot be hotwired useing the old techniques. no ignition key on this system. !!

Me too. It was on the car and the dealer wouldnt take it off. Anyway, I find it pretty useless. Ive had 2 key fobs fall apart already and I get phantom calls from lojack telling me my car has been moved. If it does actually get stolen, Im afraid Im going to just ignore the warning One time I was driving and my cell phone rang. I answered it and it was lojack telling me my car may have been moved
