ok i know there are several posts on this but in them the part where i am is not well described.

Once you remove the 2 visiable screws, remove the star screw under the plug, then your supposed to pop the block out....now which way are we popping and how, do you pull up from the outside of the hood and push the hoodscoop in towards the engine [pushing on top or bottom of block?], or do you push up on the inside and push scoop out towards the outside, do you pull up from out side while holding the block? bla bla bla....and which way does it pop so the other hidden screws are visiable.

any help would be lovely.

what will you do when you pop out the hood scoop?

 

after that i will put in a new CAI with a KN rx4990. Gives it kinda of a supra sound, the phssst, and probably a few mor horses, no one has dynoed it yet, theres a thread on it under DRIVETRAIN if you want

 

Is this specifically designed for the MINI? I'm interested in changing my intake too.

 

no someone jsut thought of it, alta is making one now, go under 2nd generation, then under drivetrain, and its normally the first thread
