Portable NAV

Has anyone seen or purchased the portable NAV system from the dealer. I didn't notice it before. Its $750.00 and looks like it is mounted to the left of the wheel on the corner of the dash?. This is a much better price than $2,100 but looks make shift and not the same look. Its in white and a black or grey color would be better. If all things being equal in regards to its appeal/styling, is the system as good as the factor system. Is there a better looking aftermarket system that is more integrated but dosn't cost $2,100.

Thanks.

The portable nav system is a sort of re-branded Garmin Nuvi 360. It's not a bad nav system, but it doesn't integrate with the car like the built in one. You can get the garmin 360 for around $300 on amazon and newegg.

There are also some very good mounts available from: http://www.kudausa.com/index.php and those don't require drilling like the dealer installed one does.

I recently got a Garmin Nuvi 660 and couldn't be happier. That one sells for around $700. It has some features that I got with the mini like bluetooth but since I don't have those features on my other cars they come in really handy.

Saw it here at the Dragon on a MINIusa car. Was pretty cool how it was integrated. I want the mount now! :-)
