New to Minis. This past week I bought a high mileage 2014 Clubman (91K). How do I determine which engine is in it? The reason I ask is that the non-Mini dealership offered a 3 year extended comprehensive warranty on it which I accepted. Now, I'm thinking if this engine does not have history of problems, just cancel the extended warranty and pay out of pocket for any maintenance /repair issues. I would bring the vehicle to any independent shops in metro Atlanta. I live in Gwinnett County. Thoughts? Your personal history with this model and engine would be welcomed.

 

That car has the N16 engine in it.
We are located on the NE side of Atlanta and happy to do all the service and repairs you need.

For the warranty I would shop around as the prices and what is and isn't covered in the warranties greatly varies. I have found USAA to be the best at actually paying claims and not fighting customers.
