Weird electrical issue

Hi!
I apologize for the length of this post, but I want to get all of the information in front to help with the diagnosing of the issue.
I have a 2008 Clubman. It arrived without a puddle light on the left side barn door. There was no light or connection. The fuse 10amp fuse was burnt and everytime I replace it, it burns out again. This is the same fuse that runs my map lights in the front row.
I found another bulb and wanted to see if I had any other issues. I temporarily wired the bulb and I didn't have another 10amp fuse, so I put in a 15amp fuse in place of it. The puddle light worked, the map light worked, then I quickly smelt something burning and I shut the car down. Pulled the temporary bulb and fuse. Now, the rear wipers don't work, and the left side barn door will close but not lock. Not sure what I buggered up, but I would like some guidance here.

Thanks!

You need to take the barn door apart and find out why the light was removed, and if there is a short in the system.

And stepping fuse size up is a huge no no, you could've caused other problems with the wiper motor or even FRM.

Have you checked the fuses for the wipers yet? Is it possible that there is a short through the light to the wipers?

Electrical isn't a fun diagnostic to do via the interwebs unfortunately.
