I am putting a 2009 clubman s engine in a 2007 mini s. N14etc. I am pretty sure everything will drop in, then I learned about the 2009 model year mid year update thing. (like some head gasket kits will fit up to 5/2009 and not after)

So, question is, what exactly changed? it it still the same engine? everything appears the same from the outside, but i have been burned by this stuff before.

Any help is appreciated...

 

I am not sure/awar of these updates. But the engine should fit the application. while the engine is out, make sure you replace/inspect the oil filter housing gasket, the thermostat, thermostat housing, the water pump and gasket..etc
