H13 LED Conversion Headlight Bulbs?
Got a tout via e-mail today from MINI2.com with an ad for LED headlight conversion bulbs. My 2013 R55 (bought off-the-lot about this time late in 12/12) came with OEM halogen headlights.
I'd like to think after 4 years the LED technology's advanced to a point I can buy plug'n'play bulb replacements that A) will work fine once installed and B) neither melt the housings OR lenses up front... AND provide better than OEM illumination out in front.
These are the bulbs they're advertising, I've ordered a pair of the H13 'flavor' to try on for size.
Curious whether anyone else has gone this route? Maybe what their end-user experiences have been?
Given that new MINI builds have LED options but with a considerably higher price point I'd have to believe there's a market out there for this kind of thing!
