Rear trunk cover...

Can anyone confirm for me if these two items are interchangeable?

I just bought a Clubman, and the rear trunk cover was broken. I want to replace it, but the ~$500 price tag for the retractable version is a little hard to swallow. I can live with the fold-able version, if I can confirm it fits before ordering it.

Wish I could help you.....only know about the earlier version. I can tell you that on the early (less expensive) version that the cover has two pins on the end of the rod that fits next to the back seats. The pins are oval shaped and you pivot them into a "slot" in the trim that is mounted to the sides of the boot. the "slot" has a piece of plastic that is spring loaded to hold the pins in.

the later version mounts the same way at the front, and the rear has a couple of pins that catch the slots on the side. I'm almost convinced that the only difference between the two is the later version retracts.

They are the same, one is just the newer LCI version that retracts. It was an upgrade in design by MINI. lots of people liked that.
