I was able to find a set of NM Clubby springs for my 14 clubman. Ride is perfect and ride is much improved. Most important I did not need rear control arms. Dealer alignment specs out all good.

 

Looks great! I think I'm going to put Eibachs on my '11 Clubman after seeing your car (mine is white silver/black). Do you have any issues with the front rubbing while pulling into driveways, etc?

I like the handling and comfort better on the Clubman as well. The longer wheel base gives it a nice feel and I don't think it loses much in performance. I'd be curious if on a track day there would be any difference. On a long curve I suspect the Clubman would have better grip.

 

Roly, I chose not to go that aggressive on the drop as the car is a daily driver. The Eibach sportline springs are probably equivalent in drop. I chose Eibach because they engineered the system to work together. If I had to choose a second choice it would have been NM engineering. Looking back, I don't think the front sway bar is as important but I've developed a nasty clunk in the front end in the last couple of days so it may be a blessing I have all the bushings and front sway bar sitting in the garage!

 

reACTION, Yes the front end will rub more frequently and what you can't see is the rain gutter in the street outside my driveway. I'm careful and slow going in and out. I don't have a front carbon fiber splitter to worry about and am thankful for that!

 

If you have developed a clunk, you might want to check the torque on the top nut of the struts. Could be your noise. Then Check the end links to see if they are torqued.

I put the car on jack stands over the weekend and inspected. The top nuts are torqued to spec, the sway bar end links are tight. In fact, nothing is apparently loose. The dealer has told me that my lower control arm bushings are worn but upon inspection I can't tell. I'm thinking it is either those bushings or the sway bar bushings. When I was working on the car I could get the noise to reoccur if I jacked the right front wheel up but not if the sway bar end link was detached. Maybe that means more to someone else here. Either way, with 66,000 miles on the car I'm surprised these bushings are wearing out. The sound is akin to someone hitting the floorboard from underneath with a rubber mallet. Happens somewhat randomly but consistently. Most noticeable under 30 miles an hour.

 

Ok, was just told by the mechanic that the sway bar bushings are the culprit. Just crapped out on me! But I'll get the whole front end finished at the same time.
