My factory warranty recently expired and I conveniently discovered I wasn't getting audio from the rear left speaker. I can hear the tweeter when I change the balance and fade to that speaker only, otherwise nothing. I completely removed all the paneling and tested the speaker itself and it outputs audio. All other speakers functioning fine. Any ideas what I can check next?

On a side note, I had noticed some crackling static noises from that speaker specifically and have a service order stating as such from May of this year. They found no faults at the time but I believe they only checked the amp. Would the dealer honor repairing the speaker since I have this record of the issue?

I would expect that they would. If there is record of issue and they didn't fix, then yes
