I took my 2010 clubman to the dealer for the ac not working. They claim my forge intercooler rubbed a hole in the ac condenser, so of course it's not covered by my warranty. They say it will cost around $1100 to replace it, if they can fit it behind the forge intercooler. Has this happened to anyone else here?

Sorry to repost here... I'm just suprised that I'm the only one this happened to.

 

huh? they probably meant a hose of the ac condenser, still unlikely. maybe the way the intercooler sat pushed a hose close to the serpentine belt which rubbed a hole into the hose. that's my guess.

they have to replace the hose, evac the system and recharge it, but it's still way too much. do you have a pic of what the set up looked like? you should be able to tell more or less what happened

 

I don't have a pic of the setup. I have to pick it up from the dealer and bring it to my indy mechanic who installed the fmic... I'll have him take a picture.
