I took my clubby to a rally course at BMW plant and needles to say I had a blast but I also learned my pads are horrible.
So I want to change/upgrade that part.
I seen some Green/yellow/red pads at Way Motorworks website and wondering if they are a good and since I fell in love with rally driving are they good for this type of application.

I assume you're talking about the EBC greenstuff/yellow/red. I have EBC greens on right now and they're basically an OEM replacement . I think yellow are slightly more aggressive for track driving and then reds are for heavier/faster cars.
I've used my EBC greens in autocross and they're fine (but I'm pretty new to autoX too), didn't really feel a lot of fade over the 6 runs I did each time. Rally's probably more intensive. The trade off between greens and yellows is aggressiveness of the pad compound, so yellows will be best when heated up but greens are OEM replacement.
Also I've heard of EBC pads compounds falling off of the backing plate before. Might want to check into that as well

EBC or Hawk are good choices. EBC Red , good middle of the road pad for DD and some track time. Hawk HPS another in the middle performance pad.

Been to the BMW PDC in SC a couple times, but not in a MINI
Lost of fun.
Post up pics of the event sounds like fun. Back in the day of 2002 MINI had a track day there for press in the US or a corp. day.

I put on the ebc reds on jcw brembos with drill & slotted rotors. I do no track events but the reds are nice braking performance on aggressive street.

did you break your brakes?
Broken brakes can break your heart
I hope you fix your broken brakes . . .

What exactly do you mean by "rally"? Are you talking actual in-the-dirt rally-x or is this road rally or is this auto-x? Each of these will have different brake pad requirements. For auto-x I'd go with the yellowstuff pads. For rally-x or road-rally I'd do the redstuff pads.

I prefer the Hawk HPS or HP+ pads to EBC pads. We still do sell the EBCs but we had a couple of come-backs with the pads de-laminating. The HPSs have been rock solid and high performers.

I like my Hawks. I've had the Ceramics and liked those, nice and quiet. Upgraded to the HPS this past year and really like those.
Vendor
+1 for HAWK HP+, but they do tend to be a bit noisy. The ceramic pads will be a bit quieter. A good option might be going with 2 pad set up for the fronts. A race pad that you can swap in the fronts when you head out to the track and swap out once you're done. Wynn is also another awesome track pad. Pricey, but worth it.
As far as pads, make sure you have a good slotted/vented rotor set up. Cooling is important when you're constantly on the brakes. Stainless steel brake lines as well as an aggressive brake fluid is always a great option for track settings. We have great prices and advice if you ever need it for your track set ups! Just let me know.

I've done several events there and for the style of events they run the EBC Reds would prob work pretty well for you. If you do still feel those aren't giving you the performance step up to the EBC Yellows.Originally Posted by Baconism

I've never had good luck with the Hawks so I don't recommend them.

I change pads dependent on what I am doing.
EBC Reds for the street and EBC Yellows for the track. Lately I have left my yellows on for the street just to see what happens (besides lots of brake dust). Just my opinion.

I have EBC Reds and like them... no tracking just occasionally driven hard on back roads. They do seem to emit less dust than the OEMs.
