R55 30K Service
30K Service
Took wife's Clubman in for it's 30K service, the first since she bought it in September of 14. Had an oil change, cabin filter changed new reap break pads and sensor. The tech also found a cracked water pump pulley, that was replaced under warranty. As I was pulling off the freeway to frontage road to dealer, the low air pressure light came on indicating the RF Tire was low. Told SA and a while later he informed me the tire had hole in it that couldn't be repaired, check the tire and agreed it was toast. Had dealer replace tire as it was more convenient and not much more expensive to have it done at dealer than to mount the spare and drive to some place to get new tire. So it cost me $160 for the tire and the mount and balance. Very pleasant experience. The dealer has built a new building and the waiting area has a wall of window overlooking the service bay, makes it nice to watch them working on your car. The Mini dealer is owned by a guy who has about 10 dealerships in Sacramento and has a good Reputation. During the 2 1/2 hrs I was there looked at other cars both new and used. Don't care for the Mini 4 door hardtop but kind fell in love with a Paceman S they had on the floor. White Silver with a black top but body colored outside mirrors liked that better than the black top and mirrors. Not going to buy one though gotta pay for Mommas. Got there at 8:45 am and was on way home by 11:15 Next service at 36K The SA is going to get the service history of the car as it is a CPO vehicle. Forgot to ask but emailed him after I go home. The washed and vacuumed the car so it was pretty again after the rain and pea soup fog of the past couple of week.
