So I just got out of work and my MINI won't start. All the electronics work, radio, lights, ect. However when I go to turn it on it just hums and the check engine light is on.

Is there any suggestions as to what's causing it or do I need to call for a tow?

 

It probably just needs a jump from another battery.

This happened to me recently too. My phone was hooked up to my minis Bluetooth. When I used my phone, it was draining my battery. It jump started right up, and with some driving, battery appears to be back to normal.
