P1512 error code which after googling etc i found out is a "DISA Control Circuit Signal Low" Does anyone know what this is and how to fix it? Thanks for your help Chris

 

What year is your car? I didn't know the MINIs had a disa valve.

 

2008 Mini Clubman and the "Diagnostic Trouble Code" is 1512

 

No mini has ever had a disa, maybe you looked up the code for a BMW

 

Thanks Guys, please excuse me I am new to these later model Minis. You are right I googled (is that a word now) 1512 code and it lead me to a BMW code chart, I naturally assumed (my Bad) that since Mini is now made by BMW it would cross reference. Lesson learned. On a good note I used "Seafoam" and the CEL has gone, hopefully for good. I still have a little "lagging" at low rpms, and am not sure if that is normal for Justa with an automatic transmission. Suggestions? Thanks Chris

 

Shouldn't be a need for seafoam on a justa, the direct injection is the cause of the carbon build up on the s, how many miles are on it, could be a timing issue
