Clubman noise and mpg, Cooper S vs. Cooper JCW

Does the additional horsepower and torque available on the JCW version of the Clubman mean that the car is noisier than the S version? I do not mean in racing related use but in normal local driving and in highway driving.

Also,is the assumption that a JCW would have worse mpg correct?

I recognize that as few people have had experience with both versions precise comparisons are not possible. Thank you for any experience or anecdotes.

I added the JCW air box to my S and have noticed a slightly bigger growl. Will be adding the FJCW exhaust this summer and expect a small increase in noise. I did not notice a difference in MPG with the air box.

Louder, yes. Worse mpg, probably not consequentially.
