Well I am out!!!

It was a short run for us but we are out of the Mini world soon. Yesterday my son was driving down the HWY and a tractor trailer flipped over the median into his lanes which made him do an evasive move sharp to the right to not get badly hurt. In doing the cut he got slammed in the rear end as folks were scrambling to avoid the trailer. Lucky he is ok but the rear end of the car was hammered good. Both side of the back of the car are pushed up, the 3rd side door does not open well. I an fairly sure it is a total. Too bad because it was a sweet running car, had all the recall/goodwill fixes done, car was clean as a tack.

Glad the car did its job and kept him safe!!
They make more cars everyday....and having one crunched just reminds you it is just a car, and that a life is so much more important!!

yep, you can't get into any real accidents without totaling a MINI.

Odd to read this- yesterday, I was commuting home from the nuke plant I work at- which involves back roads. As I rounded a corner at a crossroads, I came face to left door with a Subaru Outback who pulled out right in front of me. I nailed the brakes and steered around him, coming to a stop on the other side of him. Of course being the coward he must be, he sped away without so much as a "sorry" or "kiss my @$$".

Sorry for your loss- glad your son is ok!
