What does 'LCI' mean?

My wife's '05 R52 is dead so we've been looking a 2012 Clubman (on-line). Real OEM says built 03/2102 and that the car is an R55 LCI. Can't seem to find out what that means.

Stands for Life Cycle Impulse. Basically BMW speak for a facelifted version. Original clubman was 2008-2010, facelift 2011-present. The facelift included engine tweaks, different front bumper apron, and some cosmetic changes inside, like black steering wheel controls instead of silver.

2021 clubman S is WHAT LCI? HELP!

Just when I think I understand what is going on under the hood, another term I was unfamiliar with pops up. I know LCI means life cycle impulse BUT what LCI is the current F54 2021 Clubman S?
I am looking at induction kits to lower air temp into engine and keep running up against....this works only for F54 pre LCI 2018 for example......any information on what this means specifically for my current Clubman would be much appreciated. (and if my question shows a lack of understanding to start with please remember I am trying to understand!)

LCI year range, but you'll need to check as specific country year range might vary

So with the induction kit you referred to was only designed for F54 < 2018 year range.

Since yours is F54 2021 > 2018 so LCI.

To be honest to lower air temps you'll be better of keeping stock and installing a performance/free flow air filter inside stock box.

If you want to look for induction kit look for ones that make use of the cold air feed like from the bonnet scoop etc...

Something like this

Might be better just replacing stock intercooler with a larger one than changing the air intake system.

Should've posted it in the 3rd gen section maybe you'll get more answers.
