It got good reviews, is reasonably priced, and has an aggressive tread (with a very good tread wear rating). I can get a really good deal through Discount Tire Direct. They will beat Tire Rack, plus they offer free shipping.
I have the Gmax and after 20,000 miles they are cupping and are VERY noisy. They were great at first but now the noise is bad.

Thank you all you guys for the informations...

My local shop offered me $120 for Hankook V12 Evo per tire including installation and balancing...

Since if I buy tires through Tirerack, I had to pay for shipping&installation (local Midas shop said $25 per tire for installation) Thought this was somewhat reasonable.

Again, thank you guys

YES, not a problem in a clubman.

I'm going to replace them with Continentals DWS if I decide to keep the car.

Good luck hopefully that helps.
Good traction tires don't last. I am lucky to get 20K on any tire I buy. If you think that's bad try my sport bike, I get 2-3K on the rears, 3-5K on fronts.

I think people expect too much. Tires can't last and have great traction.

And I NEVER get near the warning bars, tires have heat cycled way too much to have any traction left. Mine get pulled when the traction is going, about halfway through the treads.

Totally agree. Most folks don't realize that. It just isn't possible to have tires with excellent traction that last 40-50k miles. If it was possible, it would defy laws of physics. What one should aim for is a compromise that suits their driving habits, and road condition. My wife's Mercedes SUV (5000 lbs) goes through tires every 18K miles... even though they are rated to last 30K plus. At least curb weight is not an issue with Minis!

Based from my own experience, check out the Michelins AS3's 205/45-17's ... it's an all-season performance tire w/ a high mileage warranty of 45K. You can get this from your local Costco (just wait for a $70 sale reduction-every other month). Out-the-door price was $587 for me that came with a lifetime repair, balance and rotation. I had mine balanced and rotated every 3k. These aren't run flats... I do carry a Slime tire repair kit and a full size spare on longer trips.

Keep in mind any tire wear warranty is PRORATED, meaning you may get a few dollars
Off the replacement .

I had a set of Cooper Zeon RS3s on my R53, and I really liked them. Not overly expensive, and they were good in the dry, wet, and in a bit of snow.
