R55 No heat. . .Won't bleed...
No heat. . .Won't bleed...
So, on top of other little adventures with this particular 08 S Clubman, it apparently ran a little low on Coolant during a trip north. My other-half's friend has some mechanical knowledge of . . .things. So, they added some water, as that is what they had on hand. They would later add up to about a half gallon of Zerex Go5 over time. Still the Coolant runs low.
She brought the car home, and yes, the reservoir was pretty empty. I turned up the heat, fan on low, seat heaters on high, started the engine, and added coolant. Waited awhile for the engine to get hot, but the heater blew cool. I opened the bleeder screw until it just about fell out. Nothing.
Side note** Last year, about this time, BMW put in a new water pump and thermostat.
So. . .um. . .what now?
I would greatly appreciate any knowledgeable response. I'm at a loss.
Thanks!
Cheers,
Dennis
