check engine light
Drove to work (30mi) no issues, 10 hours later I start the car and the check engine light comes on. Checked the oil 2 weeks ago, water is good. I use 93+ fuel and have driven almost 300 miles on the tank!

P0597just had it checked today. So I drove another car to work. So my wife was driving it today and the light went off. Any thoughts?

P0597 thermostat heater control circuit / open.
Is your MINI under warranty? IF not you might need to replace this IMO

Had mine replaced not too long ago for about $350-400, including parts & labour, at my favourite independent shop.
