rearview mirror

I've seen a few threads about removing the rearview mirror but they result in an odd look or gaping holes. Are there any kits available for this or are tall drivers still out of luck

Being 6'-6" I just accepted the fact that I cant see up and to the right. I sit all of the way back and down.

On twisty roads where I drive the car hard I flip up the mirror so it's kind of out of my way. I've got the big auto dimming mirror with the garage door accessory and it's frustrating how large it is. Once back in traffic I put it back down and just deal with it.

Hmm. I'm not that tall but I find that big honking mirror to be not a great thing. I never consider there was an option. I like the flip it out of the way idea but since this is the place to find trick things to do to these cool little cars, are there any mods the taller folk are doing to deal with it?

Are there other mirror options available? It reminds me of the VW croud that used to be big with many mirrors across the top of the windsheild giving them a number ofdifferent angles of sight. Not that that's the anmswer but it reminded me.

I am looking into a metal box to hold the electronics and replace it. Having issues working out attachment that can easily be reversed without drilling.
